If you edited your only save game and did not complete the process above I think you might be screwed and I am not certain how to get you out of that predicament besides starting over. If you messed up and tried to goto the load game screen after saving your changes the save game will not show up so you must be in the load screen of the game before saving your changes otherwise your save will not be found.
Congrats and don't forget to resave as a new save file must be created now as the old one will be gone.Now in Persona 4, finish loading your save game.When you are done changing your name, save your changes.Click on the other Tab and from here you can edit the name of your character, both first (forename) and lastname (surname).From Persona 4 open the the load game screen so that your fresh new save is displayed.Save your game onto an empty slot or a slot that you don't care about.Start up Persona 4 and load your save game.Enjoy!ĭid you try just using the save game tool to change the name? Assuming you followed my steps the process would go like so Now if you didn't do it in this order and tried to save before clicking on load you will notice the save file is missing and will be unable to load up your edited save file, so make sure to do it in the order mentioned above. Once you see your save available, now go ahead and save your changes on the editor and then back in game go ahead and finish loading your save and viola everything should be there but you will also notice your save game is gone, so make sure to re save. Edit: One last thing to get this to work after making your edits on the save game editor, before you save the data on the editor, while in Persona 4, click on load save so that your save file is showing up. Make a save in an unused slot so your original save doesn't get jacked, Navigate to your Steam install directory / userdata / the folder with todays date that is a string of numbers, another folder with todays date with a string of numbers / the folder named remote and the data000x.bin files are your saves in this folder. Isn't this just for the Vita version? Via Homebrewed Vita with Vita Save Manager installed and then the data.bin file extracted which can be used to edit the save file or does this work on the PC version somehow?
